I hope you all had a happy thanksgiving! We started out our journey this week with continents and the evolution of the earth itself. Everyone has been very interested in volcanoes, so we are going back to how volcanoes were created and how they affect the environment. First, we discovered the continents and why they are important on our journey to discovering volcanoes. Then we experimented with peanut butter and crackers and how the crackers sliding, diverging and converging affected the peanut butter and crackers. This helped the learners see how plate tectonics work on our earth.

Learners were introduced to timelines and how they are significant for tracking various things in history whether it has to do with them as individuals or all of humanities history. They discovered that timelines are important to track special moments in their life.
